Engagement Pics

Yesterday was MLK day and Adam and I both had the day off, which was lucky because we've been needing to get our engagement photos done...  Luckily Aunt Mar was willing to help out and she took some awesome pictures.

Aunt Mar with assistant Megan spent almost three hours at three locations taking pics we could use for our invitations and the reception.  I was kind of bummed because the first place we went had some great architecture but in the middle of shooting a lady came up to us and told us we needed to pay a $50 photo permit fee to take pictures of the buildings.  $50!!! Crazy!!  There was no way I was going to pay that and I think we all felt that way so we moved on to the other spots Aunt Mar had picked out.  I have only seen a handful of shots, but so far I love them.  I "borrowed" some from Aunt Mar's blog.  Enjoy!!

Dear Jay

Dear Jay,

I just want to say thank you for all the hard work you put in this holiday season.  I know I am not the easiest person to get close to.  It is still weird for me that my parents are not married to each other, but I know that you are working very hard to make my mom happy.  If Mom can't be married to Dad then I am glad she is married to you.

I know you devoted a lot of time and money and made many sacrifices to make sure that my family had a great holiday.  You have a very generous and loving personality.  I want you to know that I may not say it very much (or at all...) but I appreciate the things you try do for us.  You went far above and beyond this Christmas and I hope you know how much it means to me.  I am sorry that not everything worked out the way it was planned and I know I am partly responsible (I inherited a bit of a stubborn streak from one or both of my parents...). Thanks for putting up with us.
