For Memorial Day, a date took me to an airplane museum in Addison. It was really neat. There were some fabulous planes from WWI and WWII that had been beautifully restored. Then we went to an outdoor concert that finished with a wonderful fireworks show.
I got to see Wicked again this year. It's always wonderful, and I liked the girl who played Glinda much better this year. I attended the show with the same date.
I had the best 4th of July EVER!! My date was out of town, but I was lucky enough to be invited to Dad's house. In his town, fireworks are legal, and everybody had them. We sat in the back of his truck and our heads swiveled as we were surrounded by show-quality fireworks. It was amazing!!I did all of this while working full time and going to school full time. (YAY no more statistics!!). Oh yeah, and I took a little promotion at work. I'm now the Teller Operations Specialist. Better known as the teller supervisor. It's fun and challenging. I suppose I should have waited a few weeks for school to settle down, or maybe I should have taken some time off from school because I have been stressed to the max! But it's truly better this way. I just keep pushing through. I'm afraid if I take time off, I'll never step back up.
Oh yeah, I received a calling to be a Relief Society teacher. My first lesson is this Sunday. Anybody want to teach it for me? I'm not exactly sure what they were thinking. I make a good CTR 5 teacher. But teaching a small group of sweet 5 year olds is so much easier than a huge group of women who are a million times smarter than you.
Oh, and in case you were wondering.... My date this summer... is...
Adam.
We got to talking and it turned out we still loved each other so very much. We had to give our relationship another chance. Things have been fantastic so far. I hated our time apart, but I needed to focus on myself. I've tried to continue that somewhat so I maintain my independence. Adam got to use his time realizing all my wonderful qualities. He's decided life is so much better with me in it. I've been incredibly happy these past two months. I think we both have. Hopefully we've both learned from our experiences and have grown into the people we need to be to build a lasting relationship. So far so good! :)
