My Birthday

Yes, my birthday was last week. But I have been feeling like I ought to say thank you to every one who made my birthday such a wonderful day. I got to spend the afternoon with my Aunt Mar even though neither one of us was feeling well. Then I got to see her kids for a bit and even found out that though I may work at a bank, but I can't remember how to do fifth grade math!! Then I got to go to my Dad's for his famous BBQ ribs. Yum!! The next day my mom and I went to dinner together to celebrate on our own. All in all I had a very nice birthday, even though it was weird that I had to split it up three ways. I also got very spoiled...

These are the lovely sunflowers my aunt got for me. I can't believe she remembered my favorite flower!! She also got me a couple of books I'd
mentioned to her I was interested in. They are the first two books in Stephenie Meyers' Twilight Series, and have created a sort of obsession for me... I finished the first book on Thursday, the second on Friday, then after work on Saturday I tracked down the third book and finished it that night too!! Now I am desperately awaiting next August's release of the fourth book. Man, I just got done with the suspense of waiting for Harry Potter. Now I have to wait for Twilight!! Good job, Aunt Mar... J/K I LOVE these books. Thanks so much for them!!!!


















My Dad and his wife Tracey, gave me this gorgeous purse. It almost seems to have jaws, and stays wide open very nicely while I either fill it or empty it, which is amazingly convenient. My little sister, Fallon even gave me a little gift. Cute, huh?















My Grandparents sent such an adorable card, I couldn't help but smile. It's on my bookshelf, and I just have to grin each time I walk by. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!!

I spoiled myself too. I still had a gift card from Kohl's that my parents got me last year, plus I'd won a couple of gift cards from work, so before I met my aunt for lunch, I headed out to Kohl's and bought myself a new comforter and sheet set. It is soooo beautiful, soft, and comfy. I shouldn't have gotten one so comfortable!! I can't get out of bed in the morning, and I can't wait to jump in each night!!


I waited until Thursday for my mom's gifts. She gave me another gift card to Kohl's. (Yay, now I can get new pj's to go with my new bed!!) She also gave me my favorite movie on dvd.










Karen is so far away at school, and I miss her. She texted me at midnight to be sure she was the first to wish me happy birthday. I also got many more text messages and two phone calls from her. It was so nice to hear from her. She also remembered my favorite flower, and sent me this picture. Absolutely gorgeous. Thanks Karen.













My friend from work, Daisy, and mom's friend also each gave me a lotion set. Plus, Janie, from our ward got me this gorgeous Bath and Body Works Vanilla and Almond Oil bath and lotion set. It came in this absolutely beautiful ceramic brown bowl, which sadly shattered when I narrowly escaped a car accident on my way home from work on Tuesday. Sorry Janie!! I was actually more upset about the bowl than about possibly being seriously hurt by the accident, it was that beautiful!

Anyway, I just wanted to say a big thank you to all of my friends and family who tried (and succeeded) to give me a great birthday.
