Okay, fine

Okay, fine, I give in. I will join the world of blogging to appease my sister and my aunt. I have been enjoying their blogs for a while, but an early blog experience has kept me wary of keeping my own.
A friend of mine asked me a few years back if I would visit her blog. I didn't know what a blog was, and was certainly curious. I was busy and it took a while to get around to it. She was an avid blogger, and posted several times a day, so by the time I got around to checking her blog (she had said there was something specific about me she wanted me to read), I had a long way to scroll before I found my name. I mostly scanned her blog, as she and I had very different values, and what she had to say in most of her blogs were highly offensive to me. But she knew what my values were, so when she was around me, she kept herself pretty light. Finally I found my name. I was scanning pretty quickly, so I had to scroll up a bit to see where that particular blog began. It was a very long blog, but I never finished it. She had used the blog to confess the feelings that she was developing for me!! As soon as my naive little brain clicked and I realized what she was saying, I flipped out and shut down the web page. I never went back to finish the blog, as it was rather graphic. We spoke only one more time, when she asked if I had finally read her blog. I said yes, and I am sure she could tell by the horrified look on my face, that I didn't feel the same.
But, I have relaxed since I began reading my aunt's blog. She too is an avid blogger, and has been blogging for a long time. I only found out a few months ago, but have been a dedicated reader ever since. My sister started a blog last week, and so now, I finally give in. My life isn't nearly as interesting as theirs, so I don't know how often I will post, or if my posts will be worth reading. We'll see how it goes. If nobody likes it, the blog gets the axe, and I can go back to my normal technologically challenged, self. I am also a very private person, so it will be an interesting experience for me, I suppose, to expose myself to the internet.
