So Far This Week

Monday I started my new job and so far I LOVE it. Everyone is so nice and the sellers work together as a team. If one person needs something, the others work to make sure they get it. Awesome, huh?

I also got my copy of Breaking Dawn Monday night. Amazon.com sent it to me with a destroyed jacket. Someone had tried to tape it together and send it to me anyway. I was so mad. I went and bought a copy from Barnes and Noble and sent the one from Amazon.com back. I've had other problems with Amazon.com, so you can be sure I won't be using them again.

It took me two nights to finish Breaking Dawn. I don't really know what to say. I wasn't disappointed, but I couldn't remember why I had been so obsessed with the series in the first place. I enjoyed the story very much, but it remained just a story. I won't say anymore because I know some of you will want to read it, and I don't want to spoil anything. I will say that the first half of the book wasn't what I was expecting at all, but once I got into the story line, the rest of it was a little predictable. Still good though. I'm not even sorry I bought it twice, but I am hoping Amazon.com will give me my money back.

I got to talk to my grandparents while Karen and Dad were visiting them. It sounds like everybody had a blast. I'm sorry I didn't get to join in. But everybody sounded good. I was surprised how young my grandpa sounded. I half thought I was talking to my dad, except for Grandpa's "Utah accent" giving him away. It made me happy to hear everybody having fun.

The coolest thing that happened to me this week was on Sunday. I was invited to join my cousin Ashton for his birthday. It was extra special because he turned twelve. In our church, worthy young men turning twelve are ordained with the Aaronic Priesthood. Since I don't have any brothers, it was so amazing to get to see Ashton and hear his blessing. It was such a neat testimony to me of the power and unbroken line of priesthood authority that was restored to the earth more than 150 years ago. I hope Ashton realizes how important that day was in his life. I know he will honor his responsibility and continue to live his life in a way that will allow him to remain worthy of the priesthood.

I also finally got to give him his book, Goblins in the Castle. I hope he likes it.
