I am grateful for naps. I know it sounds silly, but I really am!!
I got to bed at a fairly decent hour last night and slept almost all the way through the night. I got about eight hours of sleep, but woke up feeling tired and worn out. I have gunk in my throat again, so I guess it's tonsillitis. I was pretty nauseous and dizzy at work, and all I wanted to do was go home and curl up in bed. I got off at about 4:30 and came home knowing I had to be back at work at 6:30 for a meeting. I let the dogs out and fed them, and then laid down for about a half hour. I dozed a bit, but didn't really sleep. But when I got up to go back to work, I felt better. The nap gave me enough energy to get through the meeting and back home.
I really do miss naps. They were so unappreciated when I was a child. I would fight going down for a nap as hard as I could (as a matter of fact, the only way my daycare could get me to lay down was if they let me go to my childhood sweetheart's class). Now I would give anything if work would let me off for a couple hours in the afternoon to take a nap.
